The sales nobody publishes are now on the artist page
Arthur adds private sale history to artist analytics and lets galleries submit inventory for follower visibility.
Auction results are the easy part. The private sales that actually set an artist's market happen in back rooms, and nobody publishes them.
Some of them are now in Arthur. Open an artist. Artist Analytics → Price By Year Created. Private sale history sits alongside the auction record: what sold, when it was made, what it brought.
Set your expectations honestly. We do not have every private sale, and nobody ever will. What we have is licensed or crowdsourced, and it is a small percentage of what actually trades. It is also more than you will find anywhere else.
And it is growing. We have licensed and acquired several databases this year. Tens of thousands more historical sales land over the coming weeks.
Two more things.
Online sales now sit inside Gallery Sales. One number, one screen, instead of two versions of the same question. If you want them apart, filter within Gallery Sales.
Galleries and dealers, you can list here. Send your show or your inventory, attachments or links, to shows@arthuranalytics.com. We add it to the artist's and gallery’s sale page and notify everyone following that artist or dealer.
Auction is the part of the market that gets published. This is the first look at the part that does not.
